Catalent Pharma Solutions in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Distribution Specialist. The Pre-Distribution and Distribution departments are responsible for the execution of all shipments for the Philadelphia site. The Distribution Specialist directs union personnel and redirects manpower as necessary in shipping area to accommodate work demands, responsible for order accuracy, safety programs, facility, and distribution of clinical supplies.

This is a full-time role position: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:15pm.

This 206,878 square-foot facility, located in the Philadelphia area is Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for Clinical Supply Packaging. Packaging can be configured to hold a single product or multiple products as determined by study requirements. We offer manual patient kit assembly along with semi-automated and automated wallet sealing and high-speed automated carding to meet the needs of studies of all sizes. For temperature sensitive products and those with minimal to zero allowable time out of environment, we can perform secondary packaging in refrigerated and frozen packaging rooms or over dry ice depending upon your project needs. Using our Clinicopia global labeling system with its multi-lingual label phrase library we can design single panel, booklet labels or our unique Peel-ID™ safe storage labels for your studies. Single panel and Peel-ID™ safe storage labels can be conveniently reviewed and approved online via our Fusion portal before being printed and inspected at our facilities.

The Role

• Responsible for directing the daily activities of union warehouse personnel to ensure proper response to work demands in a productive, cost effective and timely manner
• Assumes the responsibilities of the Distribution Manager/Supervisor when he/she is unavailable
• Work with Distribution Supervisor to ensure the overall execution, training, monitoring and supervising of clinical distribution staff
• Coordinating with multiple departments to ensure distributions needs are met
• Coordinate with Pre-Distribution Coordinators to schedule premium courier pickups and drop off
• Generates any necessary paperwork for shipments. Creates applicable documentation for both domestic and international shipments
• Supports the day-to-day activities of the Clinical Services Warehouse personnel including, distribution, (import/export), documentation and communications functions

The Candidate

• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in warehousing functions/operations preferred
• Valid driver’s license is required
• Knowledge of Computers and Access Inventory preferred
• Must demonstrate the ability to read and understand customer specifications, cGMP’s and standard operating procedurs
• Individual must be able to work overtime as required
• Requires ability to work in multi-temperature environments (between 30° and -20°C)
