POSITION SUMMARY:

Distribution Center Manager is responsible for the management of all DC functions including but not limited to, the receiving and quality processing of all products, the processing of all customer order shipments in an accurate and efficient way, providing the best experience to all our customers. Position supervises, schedules, and coordinates all activities for the distribution and warehouse staff. Responsibilities include customer order generation, timely printing, order review, picking, scanning accuracy, packing, shipping, receiving, inspection, barcoding, and location put-away of all goods. Responsible for implementing best practices and improvements in all areas of the warehouse and distribution center on a regular basis. The manager’s primary duty consists of the performance of work directly related to management policies and general business operations of the Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all Distribution activities and staff scheduling including temporary staff supplied by agencies and hours approval adhering to department budgets.
  • Creation and maintenance of all DC policies and procedures ensuring all documents are posted at every station and all staff, including temporary staff, are fully trained and have access to all policies and procedures in printed format.
  • Quality management of all products received and stocked including accurate counts, barcodes, and shelf storage. Coordination with Merch/Inventory on all issues.
  • Implementation, consistent review, and reporting of DC targets and metrics - daily, weekly, and monthly with continuous improvements reducing costs and improving productivity and efficiencies.
  • Oversight and management of all quality inspection of merchandise tracking each delivery and reporting to inventory management team daily.
  • Schedules inbound LTL shipments along with inventory management team and assists with pricing and negotiation.
  • Maintains and ensures accuracy of package inserts not printed with customer order that need to be inserted at review time.
  • Help maintain and assemble internal inventory sets.
  • Responsible for outbound carriers scheduled pickups and changes during holiday for increases and additional shifts.
  • Helps track import orders. Contact freight forwarder for estimated time of arrival.
  • Work with the Accounting Department to be sure we do not pay for rejections or items never delivered.
  • Return to Vendor products for any reason including errors, overage, breakage etc.
  • Responsible for Inventory Logistics incoming carrier selection including consolidation of foreign/domestic imports.
  • Cycle Counting of all inventory areas according to assignment by management.
  • Responsible for physical inventory accuracy of counts and entry.
  • Management of warehouse supplies to ensure the most cost-effective purchases and quantities including weekly supply counts, tracking usage, and reducing cost in an ongoing basis.
  • Research and troubleshoot problems in warehouse related to order shipments and inventory. Investigates reasons and helps find solutions to inventory discrepancies.
  • Responsible for inventory adjustments and getting approval following policies when over standard limits.
  • Participate in the screening and interviewing process when hiring staff.
  • Work with HR and Management to handle yearly evaluations and salary compensation.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree /Associate’s Degree or Technical School Degree
  • 5+ years warehouse experience
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Must be proficient with PCs and Microsoft Office Word & Outlook.
  • API Shipping Integration experience a PLUS
  • Bi-Lingual English and Spanish a PLUS
  • Requires exceptional attention to detail and effective time and project management skills, should be extremely well organized.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high stress environment both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
