Summary
The purpose of the Dispatcher is to weigh in, out and dispatch feed delivery trucks daily along with completing weigh tickets and schedules and the delivery of reports to proper areas.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Weigh in and out and dispatch trucks to farms for delivery approximately one every 30 minutes.
Complete and accurately fill out designated paper work daily. ( Trip sheets, mileage logs, etc.)
Perform daily scale checks as designated by management
Use 10 lb sledge hammer to dislodge material from finished feed bins
Responsible for daily clean up of assigned areas
Work in other departments to help out when needed.
Work with Panel Operator to assist in daily duties.
Be familiar with Grinding, Batching, and Pelleting computers.
Be able to fill in for operator in the event of absences.
Minimum Education
High School or equivalent
Must be Weigh Master certified to operate scales for weighing feed.
Experience Requirements
1 year experience. Reading, writing and math skills required.
Experience Preferred
Ability to read map and give directions.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Occasional exposure to outside environmental temperature conditions. Significant amount of time spent in a stationary position making visual observations with occasional bending, stooping or climbing. Able to life 100 lbs. Exposed to ingredient dust and high noise levels. Must wear required personal protective equipment per Company policy.
