General Summary of Job Duties

As a Kitchen Steward you will be responsible to make sure that all dishes, and cooking supplies are clean , and make sure that all areas surrounding are clean and well maintained.

Essential Job Function and Duties

• Washing of all dishes cleared from the dining areas.
• Washing of all heavy pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
• You may also be dusting, sweeping, and mopping various kitchen areas.
• Keeping an eye on the kitchen garbage emptying them as needed
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow team members, and vendors.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements

• Previous experience working in a kitchen or as a dishwasher is preferred.
• The ability to take and follow directions well.
• The ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• The ability to maintain composure in a potentially stressful environment.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
