This is an exciting opportunity for a Director, Finance within Corporate Services IFM (Integrated Facilities Management) for a new large multi-site Facilities management contract with a leading manufacturing company estimated $34M in revenue. This position will act as a business partner to the account VPO while also providing thought leadership on overall commercial management to the operations team. Expectation is that the Finance Director role conveys a high degree of executive presence and utilizes an impactful communication style that operates effectively at all levels of the organization both internally and externally.


The position is remote with 2 direct reports and travel up to 25%. Candidates need to reside in central or eastern United States.


Advantageous if have prior financial experience working for a facility management company and manufacturing industry experience.

The Finance Director monitors and ensures accountability for financial performance. Responsible for the processes and policies of the account, as well as the development and monitoring of financial goals, forecasts, and resources. Reviews and analyzes account financial performance with the aim of providing actionable insights that deliver sustainable financial improvements. Monitors productivity, control, accounts receivable and ensures commercial contract compliance.


Conducts financial reviews with operations teams to drive financial understanding as well as to produce accurate forecasts and budgets. This position will be responsible for developing reports and analyzing account results, to fully articulate the status of the account both to internal and external clients.


Delivers financial training programs to on-account team members including contract training, financial literacy, and commercial model reviews. Acts as a change agent on the account in delivering financial best practices, assisting operational excellence efforts, and supporting corporate initiatives.


Key Areas of responsibility:

  • Analyze large data sets.
  • Manage financial reporting daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Train managers on best practices to keep the operation running within budget.
  • Manage electronic data entry, e-Vision, forecasting financial dashboards and ad-hoc reporting as necessary.
  • Manage processes within P2P.
  • Conduct monthly analysis of financial performance of clients or contracts assigned.
  • Conduct client or contract specific reporting and analysis.
  • Conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Develops and maintains planning and budgeting systems, including analysis and interpretation of trends.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statistics, including operating and administrative budgets.
  • Ensure that assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses for responsibility area are accurately reported and accounted.
  • Assist management with developing and monitoring account financial goals, forecasts, and resources.
  • Ensure accuracy of operating and administrative budgets.
  • Oversee the period end closing process, ensuring that related expenses are reported in accordance with GAAP.
  • Examine financial records to verify details of recorded transactions.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis.

Position Summary:
Manages professional employees and/or supervisors or individual contributor that supervises strategic large, complex support, production or operations function. Has accountability for the performance and results of a team or complex area within finance in assigned Segment. At highest levels responsible for partnering with Segment senior leaders on Finance strategy for the assigned Segment. Handles general accounting and financial reporting, cost accounting, auditing, budgeting and forecasting, and systems individually and in consultation with Centers of Excellence as appropriate. Responsible for providing oversight and direction to Unit Finance. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from senior manager. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
