The Wellbeing Director manages our wellbeing service line with a lens towards leveraging community partnerships, evidence, best practices and reimbursement for program quality, growth and sustainability; resident health and wellbeing; staff health and wellbeing; and to position EH as a place where independent older adults can live well longer in their homes.


As the organization's wellbeing champion, the Wellbeing Director is a strong operations leader with five to seven years of experience designing, implementing, and managing health promotion programs to grow Episcopal Homes' impacts on resident quality of life. They supervise the work of the Active Life, Creative Ventures, and Spiritual Life departments who implement wellbeing programming. They engage with donors, strategic partners, and university health professional programs to strengthen the long-term capacity of Episcopal Homes to influence the health and wellbeing of residents.


Key Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead an evidence based, outcomes rooted wellbeing service line with capacity to garner support from and engagement of grant makers and strategic partners.
  • Foster and lead collaboration with area universities to expand internships and grow program capacity and results.
  • Collaborate in development and delivery of evidence-based programming with area partners, such as Trellis, to maximize program impacts, reimbursement and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, such as spiritual life services, home care, rehab services, Life Enrichment, and facility managers for engagement, excellence and impact.
  • Create opportunities for wellness initiatives that span across resident, staff and community wellness.
  • Keep abreast of current research and best practice for mind, body, spirit wellbeing services for older adults to guide program design, partnerships, and results.
  • Develop and monitor program outcomes and metrics to drive ongoing resident engagement, service impacts and overall program improvement.
  • Serve as wellbeing program champion in external community, building strategic partnerships to strengthen and grow wellbeing programs.
  • Partners with the Episcopal Homes Therapy Department to grow community program engagement.
  • Drive and leverage wellbeing program excellence to make EHM a sought-after residence for older adults who seek to live well, longer in their homes.
  • Work closely with the Episcopal Homes Foundation in attracting and managing grants and gifts to grow wellbeing programming.
  • Provide supervision and support sustainable growth of Active Living, Creative Ventures, and Spiritual Life program staff as pillars of EHM's wellbeing program.
  • Explore, adopt and leverage technologies as fundamental to participant engagement, as well as program quality improvement, results and reimbursement.
  • Oversee wellness and artistic facilities to support program plans and work with maintenance to sustain facility excellence.
  • Attend strategic partner/community and campus events.
  • Other projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, master's degree in health, public policy, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in health prevention/promotion program leadership
  • Proven track record of developing evidence-based health programs and translating research to create and continuously improve programs and services
  • Demonstrated ability to use and manage data for program development, outcomes monitoring and quality improvement
  • Experience writing/administering grants and attracting diverse forms of program revenue
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining strategic partnerships
  • Understanding of confidentiality and HIPPA as it pertains to wellness programming
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide good customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Detail oriented with excellent operational management skills and experience
  • Teamwork - ability to facilitate, foster and strengthen teams and teamwork
