Reporting to the Vice President of Operations and Digital Strategy, the Director of Marketing oversees the development, execution and maintenance of marketing strategies to meet the credit union’s objectives, goals and mission. Responsible for the development and execution of the credit union’s annual marketing plan, as well as leading all marketing efforts including research/development, brand management, creative development, direct marketing, advertising, product launch, website, digital marketing, social media, event planning, and project and program management. Work directly with members of management and staff to assess and successfully execute the marketing needs of the credit union.
Responsibilities
  • Oversees large-scale online and offline campaigns including branding, member loyalty, content marketing, and line of business support. The Director has a deep understanding of the VFCU brand and ensures all messaging and creative executions are in line with corporate identity and standards.
  • Oversees external communications including advertising, content marketing, social media, branch merchandising and newsletters, third-party marketing agency relationships and manages the marketing day to day operations and budget.
  • Build and lead a team of marketing specialists.
  • Develop and execute all marketing plans and programs, both short and long term, with overall objectives and goals.
  • Direct and execute efforts in all areas of marketing, including research/development; brand management; creative development; direct marketing; advertising; product launch; website; digital marketing; social media; event planning; and project and program management.
  • Develops an annual budget that is review and approved by Senior Management and the Board of Directors
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external service providers to facilitate marketing campaigns and overall branding. Works with employee groups to promote VFCU.
  • Evaluate and adjust marketing strategies in a timely manner to meet the changing needs of the market. Conducts market research and recommends for product/service modifications.
  • Prepare marketing reports, including Monthly Marketing Report
  • Manage our Salesforce Marketing Cloud environment.
  • Make occasional presentations to groups, board of directors and/or others as needed/directed.
