Director of Human Resources
If you are a self-motivated individual with proven abilities in collaborating with co-workers and various human resource providers, and who has excellent verbal and written communication skills, this is your opportunity. The Lexington Housing Authority, a regional leader in affordable housing, has an opening for Director of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will have a Human Resources Generalist background with progressive experience which includes at least 3 years in a managerial position, as well as a broad knowledge of recruitment, compensation, onboarding, benefits administration, policy development and employee relations. The individual chosen will be able to show a work history of commitment, responsiveness, sound decision-making and the ability to manage detailed work.
This position requires effective leadership, a customer service mindset, and an ability to communicate with all levels within the organization. Provides support and guidance to senior staff regarding sensitive employee issues requiring strict confidence. Must have basic knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws relating to employment and benefits. Responsible for guiding the hiring and onboarding processes. Manages actions related to performance evaluations and salaries. Acts as agency administrator for all benefits and fringes, including employee medical and life insurance, pension, and voluntary retirement savings programs. Serves as the worker’s compensation and unemployment insurance liaison. Maintains confidential personnel and related medical records.
Bachelor’s degree in Personnel Management, Business Administration, or related field, with progressive experience in a human resources environment needed; at least 3 years in a managerial position preferred.
The salary range is $67,200.00 - $107,730.00, including paid single coverage in health, dental, vison and life insurances, with retirement savings opportunities.
