Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, Data Service Director directs and oversees the design and development of systems used for managing data such as data warehouses, data stores, and other business intelligence systems. The Data Services Director is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the data systems to ensure these meet organizational requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Management

  • Build a Data and Analytics culture within ELC Operations and deliver appropriate projects on time and to the highest standard.
  • Work closely with Officers and Managers to ensure performance management is carried out in a consistent manner across ELC Operations.
  • Create compelling storytelling from analytical results to enable future planning while taking ownership over key internal deliverables.
  • Work between the Operational, Financial and Program areas of the business, and coordinate with cross functional teams to deliver high quality analysis on ELC Operations.
  • Develop and manage predictive analytical models.
  • Implement a forecasting metrics tool or package.
  • Take lead in ensuring effective stakeholder management, interacting with all levels of the business.
  • Set the cultural tone for world-class data analytics in the global Marketing community.
  • Provide enterprise-wide leadership on data to senior stakeholders, bringing them on the data journey.
  • Attendance and participation in professional conferences, training, statewide and regional meetings, Coalition meetings, and other events as identified.
  • Work harmoniously with Coalition members, other Coalition staff, early education care agencies and the community at large as appropriate.
  • Assist Chief Operating Officer with special projects as identified.
  • Liaison with IT manage service contracts.
  • Maintain Data Privacy and confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Act in accordance with Agency vision and mission.
  • Work flexible hours Monday through Friday, and occasional weekends.
  • Attendance and participation in professional conferences, trainings, statewide and regional meetings, Coalition meetings, and other events as identified.
  • Work harmoniously with Coalition members, other Coalition staff, early education care agencies and the community at large as appropriate.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Data Management, or a directly related field, plus five (5) years’ experience in Data Management, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience related to the duties of the position.
  • Proficient in Enhance Field System Modernization (EFSM).
  • Knowledge of childcare industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state grant and government regulations relating to Data responsibility.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook, Tableau, Cherwell, or other non-profit software applications.
  • Ability to implement and maintain effective records and fiscal management practices.
  • The ability to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Professional appearance and presentation.
  • Existing High Speed Internet access at home.
  • Quiet, noise-free home office space that is free of distractions.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:

  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver's license and daily access to reliable transportation to and from work and for local work-related travel.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to operate a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing job functions.
  • Ability to assist with lifting heavy boxes occasionally.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Hybrid - 50% office and 50% home office environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $96,000.00 - $144,000.00 per year
