Compliance Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and disseminates policies, provides training, conducts reviews and reports to executive management, ensuring compliance with laws and regulatory requirements, and promoting the organization's commitment to compliance.
  • Areas to be addressed include, but are not limited to, integrity of billing, accreditation and licensure, tax status, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors and reports results of compliance activity and provides guidance for Management Team on matters involving compliance.
  • Develops and maintains policies supporting the Code of Ethics and Compliance Program.
  • Develops and implements an effective compliance training program addressing the Code of Ethics and other aspects of the compliance program. Training should be mandated for all new hires, including physicians, and on an ongoing basis at appropriate intervals.
  • Ensures documentation of investigatory process, findings, summary, recommendations, and action plan/resolution. Ensures appropriate tracking and reporting of calls to the Compliance Committee.
  • Collaborates with executive management in the development of an annual Compliance Plan
  • Conducts audits or coordinates the conduct of audits with management as called for in the Compliance Plan. Ensures appropriate corrective action plans are developed and monitored for all audit/review activity, and that leadership and the Compliance Committee is apprised of corrective action plans which are delinquent with respect to approved timelines.
  • Monitor developments/changes in laws and regulations affecting the Compliance Program. Communicates and advises management and the Compliance Committee regarding these changes and the need for modification of policies or procedures and, for modification of the compliance plan.
  • Ensures the visibility of the Compliance Office/Program to provide for effective communication of questions or concerns and collaboration on resolution of compliance issues.
  • Monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve program effectiveness.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
