Summary:
The Director of Employee Experience will own the employee relations function for Broadview Federal Credit Union and its CUSOs. This position is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining a positive connection between management and the workforce for the enterprise. This includes developing, implementing, interpreting, and enforcing Employee Experience (HR) policies, managing employee communications, and conducting employee investigations in a fair, unbiased, and consistent manner enterprise wide.
Essential Job Functions:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with leaders and employees to promote a positive work environment and culture.
- Provide input to policies that are fair and consistent for everyone in the workplace.
- Coach, counsel, and educate employees at all levels on HR policies, processes, programs, and strategies.
- Design and own programs to develop employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Provide guidance and oversight specific to problem resolution/mediation, discipline, and terminations, ensuring in an environment of mutual trust and respect.
- Conduct in-depth investigations on policy violations and employee relations matters, including complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other work-related issues.
- Evaluate information gathered during investigations to determine facts, formulate necessary reports and recommendations, and assist with the preparation of corrective action documentation.
- Consult with legal counsel as appropriate on personnel matters.
- Create an environment of positive employee relations by respecting confidentiality, establishing trust and credibility, using sound judgement, being seen by employees as approachable and fair, and balancing business needs with employee needs.
- Analyze aggregate casework data to identify trends and opportunities for proactive issue mitigation.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited institution; Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in an employee-facing role with an emphasis on employee relations and conflict resolution
- Exceptional communication (oral, written, auditory) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of federal/state HR laws and compliance regulations, along with NCUA regulations and Credit Union policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and HR technology products (HRIS, ATS, databases, payroll solutions)
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification or HRCI certification (PHR, SPHR) preferred.
- Ability to travel to branches and corporate office locations.
Starting Compensation: $97,371 - $126,582 plus a competitive benefits package
