Jupiter House Preschool
Jupiter House Preschool is a privately owned preschool in a quiet part of Cedar Park, Texas near Cedar Park Regional Medical Center. We are not a franchise nor are we managed by a corporation. We use Reggio and STEM/STEAM disciplines, and strive to care for and love our students and their families.
Job Summary
The Director of Jupiter House Preschool will oversee the successful management of the entire school. This person will be in charge of the hiring, training and management of teachers within the school. The Director will also work to market the school to new families and assist teachers in making sure existing families are happy and satisfied.
Responsibilities and Duties
work with State licensing and Texas Rising Stars to assure compliance- develop positive relationships with families and faculty
- communicate with teachers and families effectively and timely
- conduct tours of school with prospective families
- manage teacher schedules to ensure ratios are always intact
- manage school enrollment
- manage tuition recording
- manage budget
- maintain records and files
- conduct safety drills
- conduct teacher training and learning
- plan school events: Christmas party, Mother’s day, etc.
Qualifications and Skills
At least 1 to 3 years of like or similar experience as a preschool Director.- Director’s Certificate, State of Texas (Child Care Administrator) - can also be currently working on certificate.
- Has knowledge of Texas Rising Stars program
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required
- Knowledge of various childcare software: Procare, Brightwheel, Lineleader CRM, Excel or other spreadsheet software
- Food Manager or Food Handlers certificate preferred
- Bilingual: English/Spanish
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Friendly and personable
