POSITION SUMMARY

  • THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN PAGE, ARIZONA.
The purpose of the position is to monitor the health and safety of clients in detox, and provide immediate services to them in a coordinated, safe and effective manner. The position is expected to cooperate as a team member in the provision of a therapeutic environment that encourages each client’s emotional growth. This position supports and assist in the agency’s goal of providing integrated healthcare.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conducts intake processes, including but not limited to: monitoring, pre-screen, intake assessment, crisis counseling, community resource and referral, and interface with local and county law enforcement.
  • Monitors the health and safety of clients, according to agency policy and procedures.
  • Coordinates clients’ meals, and observes and documents clients’ self-administration of medication.
  • Maintains physical plan in keeping with RSATA standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conducts discharge process, including transporting clients and appropriate referrals.
  • Coordinates support processes with associated families, and systems. Processes include but are not limited to explanation of rights and responsibilities and crisis intervention and support.
  • Maintains accurate service delivery records, data entry interface; prepares and provides accurate reports as required, in a timely fashion.
  • Maintains accurate time, financial, mileage, and other records as indicated; submits related reports as required.
  • Participates in all assigned supervisory, staff, and team meetings; participates at in-service trainings and staff development activities as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the RSATA Manager and/or the Director of Clinical Services.
PRIMARY CONTACTS
  • Frequent interaction with clients and their support system, usually their family.
  • Interface as needed with peers and RSATA Manager to coordinate client services.
  • Collaboration, as appropriate, with other community resources/referral agencies, other health and/or social agencies, with the client’s consent, to facilitate client needed services.
POSITION REQUISITES

Qualifications and Experience

Required:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • AZ DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • BLS and First Aid Certification.
  • Food Handlers Certificate
Preferred:
Associate degree from an accredited Community College.
  • Food manager certification
Skills/Abilities

Required:
  • Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to effectively employ analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to interface effectively with behaviorally challenged clients and their families, professional and support staff and to assist in making community referrals.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of resources available in the community.
  • Basic understanding and management of crisis approaches.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Familiar with common office equipment.
LINES OF AUTHORITY

This position is supervised by the RSATA Manager. Unless specifically designated, this position does not supervise any other personnel.

Physical Requirements

Sitting, standing, and walking as necessary.

Able to hear ordinary conversation and phone communications.

Equipment Operation

Able to operate common office equipment, including a computer.

Able to operate Agency vehicles.

Environmental Conditions

Air-conditioned and/or heated office setting.

Use of sound judgment to field inquiries concerning administrative, clinical, and operational concerns.

Ability to greet and deal effectively with clients, families, staff, and facility visitors.

Observe clients’ self-administration of medication as outlined in policy after training is received from an Encompass MD or nurse practitioner.
