Position Summary
The Director of Stroke and Neurosciences works under the direction of the Administrator for Neurosciences and Orthopedics and follows the nursing chain of command through the Administrator for Patient Care Services. Position partners with service leaders and Medical Directors at ECU Health Medical Center and regional hospitals in the development, implementation and growth of services related to Neurosciences. This job entails partnering with clinical leaders to ensure development of programs and processes to most efficiently deliver services. Preparing and monitoring budgets for the Stroke Program and other programs as the development of the Neuroscience Service Line continues. Serves as a clinical resource for ECUHMC program staff and participates in key nursing, hospital and regional / state activities for promotion and development of Neuroscience related disease.
Minimum Requirements
- Three to four years related experience
- Licensure/Registration/Certification: License as a Registered Nurse, must maintain licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing, Education, Health Care Admin or other health related field preferred; minimally, actively pursing such advanced degree.
- Experience with curriculum development and teaching helpful.
- Experience with performance improvement and quality data analysis.
- Strong verbal and written skills required.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
