JOB SUMMARY:
The Dietary Manager is responsible for the overall direction of the dietary hospice services at the
Hospice Inpatient unit. They will be responsible for providing high quality and nutritional
meals/services to our Hospice House patients and guests. They will also be responsible for the training
of qualified personnel for the kitchen as well as the compliance to all federal & state guidelines,
regulations, Life Safety Code, COPs and ACHC standards related to assigned departments. This
position will be expected to maintain the work area in a clean and healthy state according to sanitation
regulations and i n accordance with the company standards and current policies and procedures. They
will also ensure that the provision of service is consistent with the agency’s mission, vision and
philosophy.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational/Degree: High school graduate or equivalent (GED) .
Training/Licensure: Complete Hospice Orientation and Hospice 101.
Serve Safe Certification
Knowledge/Skills/Ability: Ability to work independently, be organized and detail oriented.
Ability to exercise independent judgment. Excellent written and
verbal communication skills. Knowledge of hospice policies and
procedures. Acceptance of and adaptability to different social,
racial, cultural and religious modes.
Experience: One or more years of food service experience with managerial or
related experience required. One or more years of general
customer service experience is preferred.
