Dietary Aide - FT
Job description
BLNRC is seeking a Full Time Dietary Aide to start immediately. Must possess the ability to read, write, speak and follow oral and written instructions in English. Experience in food service desirable.
Duties vary, but include things such as preparing and dishing food, unloading service wares, cleaning dishes, pots, pans and stainless steal surfaces, dating and shelving dry storage goods, etc. New hire will be trained and required to follow all safety procedures including but not limited to chemical use, sanitation practices, and all state and federal regulations for LTC facilities. Employee must be able to lift and carry 10-16 lbs. frequently and occasionally 35 lbs. Job will require bending, lifting, squatting, standing, walking and hand manipulation (good grip strength is required in all tasks). Kitchen environment can be warm and humid and floors occasionally slippery.
Ideal candidate will have a love for the elderly, be a team player and willing to take direction and learn on the job.
