DevOps Engineer - Plano, TX

Basic Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant field.
• AWS/Azure/GCS Certification is a plus.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps / System Engineer
• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies such as MS Azure, AWS and Google Cloud Systems, Linux and current computing trends.
• Experience creating cloud infrastructure – Hub and spoke mode, docker, Kubernetes, Virtual machines, bridges, configuring firewalls.
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS, EKS), Rancher/Openshift, Helm, Terraform.
• Strong experience deploying and working with virtual machines and networking – Vmware/HyperV/Harvester
• Strong understanding of DNS, TCPDUMP, DDNS, SSL, Git, Firewalls and networking concepts (VPC, subnetting, VPNs, etc).
• Strong Experience in GitLab/GitHub CI/CD pipelines creation and debugging

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Oceus Networks – DevOps team member; not only you are doing the DevOps. You wear a lot of different hats!
• Gitlab is the main/Azure is the main cloud platform. They have designed the CI/CD pipeline for the products.
• They have a lot of new products and learning new tools and supporting the products. This will be creating the pipelines of the products.
• They need to deploy on prem resources. They use Terraform significantly.
• When you deploy your Kubernetes service, Rancher is a computing technology. They manage the Kluster. SUSE – Rancher is from them, and Openshift is from RedHat.
• If you do not have experience with Rancher and OpenShift its not a deal breaker. They are all UI based!
