Fusion Health is seeking a bright, motivated, and outgoing DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering team at our Woodbridge office location! Position Description & Responsibilities:


The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for optimizing and automating our internal technology processes. This individual will collaborate with different teams, including Engineering and Infrastructure, to guarantee the smooth operation of software and systems that meet business objectives:

  • Design and build DevOps processes and procedures around large-scale SQL Server and Microsoft .NET centric applications for data center and cloud deployments
  • Develop features to improve existing CI/CD pipelines and ensure security practices are in place
  • Review current development processes, artifacts, reports, tools, and metrics to identify gaps from the perspective of a mature DevOps implementation
  • Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
  • Design and develop automated processes, equipment, and systems. Directly support operations with troubleshooting and issue resolution with respect to server and automation systems.
  • Develop and maintain relevant documentation for new enterprise-scale technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best in class usage of DevOps concepts
  • Ability to assess the requirements/environment and suggest right tools / technologies
  • System troubleshooting and problem-solving across multiple platforms (dev/test/prod)
  • Deploy new systems with best practices and security
  • Utilize benchmarking and other tools to optimize for performance and cost
  • Identify and improve on possible points of failure in the infrastructure/applications
  • Mentoring and guiding team members


Required Qualifications:


  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years’ experience
  • Minimum 3 years as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Minimum 3 years public production cloud experience (AWS – Azure preferred)
  • Experience with GitLab, Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, branching, and code analysis tools
  • Understanding working with Microsoft IIS – Websites, application pools, optimization
  • Living the practices within the Phoenix Project
  • Exposure to end-to-end API lifecycle - including coding, debugging, testing, deploying, and maintaining APIs; integrating APIs with 3rd party services etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Collaborative teammate. Proven track record to mentor and advise development and product teams.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting. Must be able to read and deploy through Powershell.
  • Advanced working knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Must be a self-learner and able to work independently without supervision & able to deliver on time under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of multiple monitoring tools and how to mine them for operational reporting.


Desired Experience & Skills


  • Hands-on experience in programming knowledge (Python or Shell script)
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, traffic analysis, common protocols and network diagnostics.
  • Exposure to observability tooling (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, etc)
  • Exposure to messaging systems (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc)
  • Familiarity with microservice- and serverless-based technologies and approaches
  • A background in software engineering, specifically with C# and .NET Core. Python or Go experience is a plus.


Additional Details:


  • This is an on-site (hybrid), full-time, salaried position at our Woodbridge, NJ office location. Our normal hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
