Position Title: Development Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Development

Position Summary: The Development Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Development to meet the fundraising and development goals of Ability360. This newly created position will be involved in all aspects of the planning and implementation of these goals on a day to day basis. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has excellent communication and time management skills. They will need to be able to both work independently and as a part of a greater team and have a strong attention to detail. This position will make a positive contribution by making suggestions for improvement and while learning new skills, procedures and processes.
Required Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 or more years of prior work experience
- Obtain an Arizona Finger Print Clearance Card.
- Reliable transportation
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Willingness and ability to learn donor management software
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential tasks include but are not limited to:
- Maintain donor database including accurate entries, advanced reports as requested by senior staff, and integrated communication options. Confidentiality is paramount and should be demonstrated at all times.
- Prepare and send thank you/tax ID letters to all donors within two weeks of their donation.
- Maintain and update the two donor walls in the Sports & Fitness Center with approval and input from Director of Development.
- Manage, research, secure and implement community fundraisers. Current and past community fundraiser examples include Fry’s Community program, Kendra Scott jewelry and One Hope Winery.
- Along with the Director of Development, plan and execute our annual fundraisers including but not limited to the 360Breakfast, JAAM Classic 360 Golf Tournament and the Independence Cup. Provide support for these fundraisers including managing attendee database, supporting vendor relations, providing on-site support, etc.
- Work with the marketing team to provide support and key information related to all development tasks.
- Lead the efforts to secure and retain donors for the High Five Monthly Giving Group.
- Lead the AZ Gives Day campaign with support from Director of Development and marketing staff.
- Assist the Director of Development and marketing staff in implementing Annual Appeal.
- Manage donation portals and disseminate information to key staff. These include but aren’t limited to Bank of America employee donations, Benevity Causes, etc.

Position Type/ Work Environment/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time (40-hour) salaried position. Work is performed primarily in an office setting and may require local travel by car. Work schedule requires flexibility and may occasionally require working flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
Salary:
A competitive salary commensurate with experience with a complete benefits package including health, dental, vision, 403 (b) retirement plan with employer match.
