Desktop Support Technician – Miami, FL - onsite
Expert Technical Solutions has an immediate need for a Desktop Support Technician for one of our premier clients in Miami, FL. This is a 6 month contract position.
Description:
The Desktop Support Technician's role is to provide support for end users and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware, software and equipment connectivity to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.
The Desktop Technician is responsible for the overall coordination, control and maintenance of Personal Computers within the office to insure compatibility and integration with enterprise strategies.
Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical computer-related problems
- Diagnoses and resolves end-user network or local printer problems, PC problems, email and connectivity problems
- Ability to repair/replace PC/Laptop Hardware, RAM, etc.
- Provide remote access/VPN support.
- Skilled in troubleshooting Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, internet-connectivity, & virus issues
- Be an advocate for the end user to ensure he or she receives high-quality and timely service and support from the IT organization.
- Escalates more complex problems to senior level technicians
- Maintains a positive working relationship with all enterprise departments to optimize working relationships and communication
- Responds to all technical emergencies outside of normal working hours as needed
- Maintains software and hardware registration and inventory to provide upgrades as necessary and insure appropriate security levels are maintained
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
