Job Overview

Twin City Hardware (TCH) is looking for a Design/ Sales Rep to coordinate with contractors, interior designers and home owners on cabinet, door and bathroom hardware selections. This position will work in our Residential Showroom, providing pricing, offering suggestions and relay knowledge about products to our customers.

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure great service by interacting with new and existing customers to determine products and services required within the residential hardware department
• Provide pricing for customers
• Relay product knowledge to customers, describe features and highlight benefits to give “good, better, best” options
• Remain well-versed in product knowledge to show how our products stack up to the competition
• Assist customers with special orders of hardware
• Create quotes, orders and purchase orders
• Gain knowledge of other departments to promote all services offered at TCH such as: commercial, integrated access, wood doors, and hollow metal
• Follow up on open job quotes to finalize sales orders
• Process returns from customers; coordinate with warehouse staff and vendors as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Skills Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Be willing to learn new products and services
• General computer knowledge in Windows and Google based environments
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Business Center (MBC), preferred but not required
• Retail sales experience in residential hardware, preferred but not required
• Experience in Interior Design in residential and commercial settings, preferred but not required
• Self-motivated, organized individual that can manage time effectively and with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of organization and customers
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Favorable results from a criminal background check including Motor Vehicle Report

Working Conditions

Office environment involving extended periods of computer work; workstation allows for standing or sitting. May include; lifting display boards (10 pounds) occasionally, driving to customer job sites, and walking.
