A Day in the Life of a Patient Care Coordinator at Mitten Kids Dentistry

On any given day at Mitten Kids you can expect to encounter the following:

• Arriving at 7:45 am to be ready to go at 8:00 am
• Working with a driven team of 4 other Patient Care Coordinators
• Interacting with young patients to help them feel welcome and safe
• Working in an office that is like a family and enjoys sharing in each other’s lives
• Treating every patient and parent with grace, compassion and respect
• Seeing between 50-60 families each day
• Presenting treatment plans in an eloquent manner
• Educate patient, as necessary, regarding insurance, their responsibility and basic terminology in a kind and a respectful manner
• Assisting in all administrative tasks in the front office including answering phone, updating patient information, collecting payments, scheduling, registering new patients, insurance eligibility

• You accomplish tasks and projects in a timely manner that allows to assist in day-to-day operations
• You are computer savvy and able to type a minimum of 50 wpm
• You are driven by results, solutions and impact
• You are looking to work 5 days per week
• You would like to work in our Cascade-Grand Rapids office

• You have difficulty selling the value and benefit of proper dental care

What Winning Looks Like

• We support you in winning by providing you with 2-3 weeks of hands on training
• Providing a detailed office manual with step by step guidelines of our procedures
• Providing bullet lists and cheat sheets at each desk listing daily responsibilities
• Being transparent in our expectations and providing you with all the tools that will help you to be successful

• Poor attendance
