Job description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for supervising all Delivery operations for local home delivery of furniture including: controlling volume, caps, routing confirming deliveries, loading and delivery to clients. Ensures timely delivery of merchandise and coordinates all information from home delivery through computer records and signed paper documents. Main area of focus is aligning resources through supervisors and dispatch that all concerns are met and all deliveries are made to Kane’s standards. Conducts Warehouse operations in accordance with established procedures and policies and keeps management informed of Warehouse activities. Completes miscellaneous support functions and supports area personnel as required.

Positions Supervised: Delivery Drivers
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Assumes responsibility for the effective supervision of Delivery operations.
2. Assumes responsibility for the efficient performance of receiving and inventory functions.
3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with vendors, store employees, and clients.
4. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good communication, coordination, and working relations with Kane’s personnel and management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Knowledge: Basic knowledge of delivery and inventory procedures and policies.
Understanding of required computer applications.
Familiarity with routing and loading functions.
Experience Required: Three or more years of progressive related experience.
