Delivery Room Technician Position OverviewDelivery Room Technician, Under general direction, observes and practices sterile technique, maintains asepsis, anticipates and assists the physician as needed. Actively participates in patient care and safety. Utilizes OR supplies conservatively and operates as a team member of the delivery room staff.

Shifts: Varies
Salary: $21-36-28.90/hour, depending on experience
Technician Responsibilities and Expectations
Prepare operating rooms for surgery.
Sterilize equipment and make sure that there are adequate supplies for surgery.
Ready patients for surgery, such as by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
Help surgeons during surgery by passing them instruments and other sterile supplies.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
Previous Surgical Technologist experience
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Meets the NYS Surgical Technologist Certification Law; OR Completed a Surgical Technologist program in the Armed Forces; OR completed a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist with a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist credential
CPR Certification within 3 months of hire
