The Amherst-Pelham Regional School District is currently seeking a full-time one year school-year Dean of Students at the Amherst Regional High School.Responsibilities include: Provide data to administration and Student Support Team (SST) weekly to monitor school and student progress Collaborate with the school community to ensure a safe and healthy school climate and culture Proactively engage with students to promote strong social-emotional relationships Implement and model Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports with students and adults Re-engage students in the classroom learning environment to ensure minimal time lost on learning Assist in the development of policies that promote equity for all students Implement and model Restorative Justice practices Serve as a liaison to community organizations to support student wellness Maintain visibility throughout the school Other duties as assigned by the principals. Knowledge of MTSS (Tiered Systems of Support). Culturally Competent. Familiar with the current research pertaining to adolescent behavior.Proficiently skilled at managing and de-escalating high-stress situationsThis interim position is supported by funding designated for mental health services earmarked in the Massachusetts House budget.
