The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join our team. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing workflows to support data governance processes for our client in the health care industry. You’ll have a strong understanding of data governance concepts and experience implementing workflows, along with a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and data management challenges.

The data governance team will serve as a key influencer and champion to introducing, maintaining, and driving adoption of data governance standards across the organization. Your strong analytical mindset, exceptional business acumen, effective communication skills, and operational excellence will help drive progress and results on our data governance initiatives. Furthermore, your data governance skills and experience will greatly support our mission to enable the business and technical with the right data.

You’ll analyze business processes and identify areas of opportunity to automate processes, and design and implement workflows to support data governance processes in the healthcare industry. You’ll develop and maintain workflow templates, best practices, and other artifacts to support consistent and efficient workflow development. You’ll work closely with business analysts and subject matter experts to gather requirements and design workflows that meet the needs of the organization, and collaborate with other data management professionals to ensure that workflows are aligned with overall data governance strategy. You’ll provide support and guidance to end users of workflows and troubleshoot and resolve issues with workflows as they arise. Work with us to drive large-scale business and process decisions through data insights.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with governance concepts and data analysis, data quality, business intelligence, or a data management domain role
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies, including Agile or JIRA
  • Experience with data management challenges specific to the healthcare industry
  • Experience developing and implementing data standards, policies, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end users
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience designing and implementing Collibra workflows in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with industry frameworks, including DMBOK, EDM DCAM, or EDM CDMC
  • Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts
  • Ability to build credibility and trust with internal customers and clients quickly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work with cross-disciplined teams
  • Ability to schedule and complete work tasks independently and work within deadlines
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communications skills to explain practices to gain business and IT stakeholder buy-in
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Management, or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,200.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
