JOB TITLE: Data Entry Clerk

LOCATION: Onsite and/or Remote

STATUS: Full-time; Hourly, Non-exempt

Carley is seeking to hire a dedicated Data Entry Clerk that would be responsible for coordinating with program management and the courseware development team in sequencing, editing, testing, and correcting errors in courseware content.


DAILY AND WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Arrange, copy courseware data/content in specified sequence.
  • Update courseware data files.
  • Examine, audit, test courseware for discrepancies throughout the courseware development life cycle.
  • Notify programmers of errors and track until closure.
  • Complete assigned tasks ensuring they are technically correct, thoroughly self-checked for quality control, meet the requirements of the contract, and are submitted according to the agreed upon schedule.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Management, Graphic Artists, and Courseware Programmers.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned and needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • AA/AS degree in Technical Communications, Education, Instructional Technology, Journalism, English, Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology, or a related field, preferred. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree, if applicable and or allowed under assigned contract.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Hands-on, detail oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Due to the nature of the work at Carley, this position requires U.S. citizenship.
