Job Description: Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis) Provide software development and maintenance support for projects working with the Business Unit and the Operations Support department Requirements gathering, elicitation by interacting with business Responsible for implementing IT/Business projects Supports all phases of Development leading to implementation Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project and multiple projects. Create or contribute to technical project documentation Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each) 8+ years software development experience Experience in Hadoop, Hive HQL, Spark, SCALA Experience in oozie scheduling. Experience in Ingestion process to Hdfs Experience in handling different types of Hadoop file formats. Experience in AWS Proficiency in Python Proficiency in Java 4 or later, scripting, J2EE, Webservices Experience in Tomcat, WebLogic Strong knowledge and experience in SQL Extensive use of a Java script toolkit (Dojo a plus) Experience with a web framework (Spring, Spring MVC a plus , Java Application server's (WebLogic/WebSphere/Tomcat framework), Struts API knowledge experience Experience with UNIX (AIX preferred) Experience with Shell scripting Excellent communication skills Skills and Knowledge Strong technical knowledge Focused and driven attitude towards contributing on the creation, enhancement and delivery of complex solutions Ability to work with diverse personalities both technical and non-technical Thorough understanding of the SDLC: planning, analysis, design, coding, testing, problem resolution Proven ability to work independently Excellent organization and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to resolve escalated issues with a sense of urgenc Education : Bachelor in Technology - Computer Science
