Organization Seeks Customer Service Representative!

Robert Half has a fantastic career opportunity for an articulate, highly-skilled Customer Service Representative. This Customer Service Representative position is based in the Astoria, New York region and is a short-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity.

Major responsibilities

• Manage and place incoming telephone calls
• By being successful in your role, you will facilitate business development and client referral goals by actively cross-selling and referring customers
• Manage the fielding and sending of important written business correspondence
• Offer friendly, accurate customer service in a timely fashion
• Less than one year of experience required
• Proficient with diversified computer software and systems
• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
• Ability to exude confidence, knowledge, and empathy when interacting with internal and external partners and clients/customers
• Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
• Enthusiastic attitude and an engaging businesslike approach
• Demonstrated experience performing extensive research to resolve complex customer inquiries
• Strong technical skills including proficiency with MS Office
• Solid understanding of customer service
• Data entry experience
• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, e.g. ACT!, Illustrator, Highrise, and Insightly
• Excellent customer service and office administrative skills

Pay commensurate with experience ($16-$19 per hour)
