JOB TITLE: Customer Service Representative

POSITION SUMMARY

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) receives processes and monitors customer sales orders. The CSR provides product and support information for customers for all product offerings. This role will also monitor sales order status, review and balance inventory levels, and interface with sales managers, operations departments, and carriers to ensure accurate and timely processing and fulfillment of sales orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives and processes customer orders through to fulfillment
• Exhibits a high level of professionalism in verbal and written communication with customers
• Reviews billing invoices for accuracy, confirms tons shipped, bill of lading accuracy, and correct terms
• Sets up destinations for rail delivery
• Interacts with Loadout on order fulfillment issues (primarily with truck orders)
• Prepares required documentation (BOL, COA, etc.) to meet customers' needs
• Possesses a working technical knowledge of all products offered by Intrepid
• Knows customers individually and understands their product requirements and locations
• Assists in resolving quality issues and customer complaints
• Reviews and approves Railroad and Truck freight bills and sends to accounting daily
• Runs invoices daily and balances all related functions
• Prepares credit and re-bills to comply with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
• Maintains accurate Customer information in the sales operations system
• Creates and maintains sales lead information in the sales operations system

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• 2 years of administrative experience and/or customer-facing role

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Great attention to detail and organization skills
• Demonstrated computer skills: Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision
• Team player mindset

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Incumbents must be able to perform work that requires typing, reading, communicating, sitting for prolonged periods of time, standing, and walking.

The employee:

• Is regularly required to use hands to type, touch, handle, or feel
• Is frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms
• Is occasionally required to walk and climb or balance
• May occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds

In the event that the incumbent visits an operations worksite, personal protective equipment including but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing may be required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Targeted compensation range for this position is $24.50 to $26.50 per hour. Compensation commensurate with experience and skill set.
