Are you Someone Who…

  • Thinks of pets as members of the family?
  • Loves giving people a friendly, warm and respectful shopping experience?
  • Enjoys learning about health and wellness for animals?
  • Is outgoing, organized, a good communicator, and a self-starter?

If so, we think you might be a great fit for a customer care retail position at Paddywack!

Who Are We?

Paddywack is a single location, family owned store, operated by and for people who are truly passionate about the heath and happiness of their pets! We have been serving the community since 2005 and are dedicated to providing friendly, knowledgeable service about our high-quality pet food and supplies. Pets are our passion, and we believe our customers' pets deserve as much love and goodness in their lives as we'd give to our own. We serve a fantastic community of like-minded, kind customers who have the absolute cutest pets around!

We Offer…

  • A fun, caring work environment with fantastic co-workers, and an emphasis on offering a good work/life balance
  • Competitive starting wages with the opportunity to earn more with experience
  • A GREAT employee discount plus free healthy pet food every month
  • Health insurance for full time employees
  • Bonus opportunities, a set schedule, paid lunches and more
  • Tons of cute pets to meet every day, and the nicest customers anywhere

What Are We Looking For?

We are currently seeking a part time (3-4 days per week) team member. Availability between 9:30am and 8:30pm is required, and shift lengths may vary depending on the day. The position is not a temporary or seasonal one. We value long-term employees and take care of our staff, so we are seeking someone also interested in a longer-term position. The successful candidate will also have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong preference of 6-12 months minimum in retail, customer service, food service or pet-related work.
  • An outgoing (extrovert or ambivert) personality with the ability to engage thoughtfully with customers.
  • A motivated, self-starter attitude and an interest in working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Must own/live with and be a primary caregiver for at least one cat or dog; this means that you are directly involved with the care and feeding of the pet(s) on a daily basis and are a decision-maker about their diet, health and enrichment.
  • Must have an interest in learning all about pet nutrition.
  • Must be at least age 18 with high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to lift at least 40lb and perform physical tasks including bending down and climbing 6' ladders.
  • Must have reliable transportation to Mill Creek Town Center.
  • Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday regularly, and ideally be available Fridays as well.
  • Must be able to work around the major November and December holidays, when we are busiest.

Want to Apply?

In addition to sending your current, up to date resume, we require a brief cover letter that must include some information about your own current personal pet(s). We'd also love to hear about any relevant experience you have, too. All applicants MUST provide a cover letter in order to be considered for the position. It doesn't need to be fancy, specially formatted or long- we just want to know that you are legitimately interested in the position, have a genuine interest in pets, and have at least one pet of your own to tell us about! *Please note that applications submitted without a cover letter will not be considered for advancement in our hiring process.*

We can't wait to hear from you!
