The P QO DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS Department of the P DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has 2 Management vacancy available. (Role: Professional)


JOB FUNCTION:

Coordinates and implements Customer Communication and Direct Mail initiatives for all emails and/or letters/postcards related to Demand Side Management and Demand Response, Key Account Management, and Customer Service programs (new and existing).


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Administer all phases of direct marketing campaign though various emails, letters or postcards and recommend improvement strategies if required and analyze all external data to identify new target audiences. Analyze all pre campaigns and design all parameters for various campaigns to ensure interest to target audience and prepare all required data files and performance reports. Evaluate all data and maintain integrity and validity to be scheduled for campaign deployment. Develop all direct customer communication campaigns and design all tests for all direct mail programs and recommend optimal design to reduce cost. Oversee efficient roll out of all campaigns and assist to upload all data files and coordinate with email marketing and direct mail vendors to prepare efficient communication schedule.
  • Assist to develop all creative formats to maxmize esponse rates from customers and recommend new campaigns for various departments. Coordinate with email vendor team to provide enhancements to various campaigns and analyze all direct marketing programs and provide support to all new product development and manage all communication with internal clients and design all project results.
  • Manage all communication strategies and recommend improvements to various direct marketing activities to ensure effectiveness of programs and organize all evaluation for direct marketing campaigns. Collaborate with vendors and service bureaus to provide enhancements to all databases and maintain accuracy of customer data to improve deliverability.
  • Analyze all responses and recommend various strategies to facilitate cost savings in direct mail activities and maintain budget for all projects and assist with all data transfer and data processes.
  • Leads efforts to maintains awareness of business and economic conditions that affect the company. Provides timely market information to the Department. Tracks demand, usage and performance by customer types and segments. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in Company emergency response activities as assigned, including any activities required to prepare for such emergency response.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge Requirements

  • Extensive working knowledge of applied statistics, economics, marketing, finance, accounting, or engineering in a leadership role. Strong background in quantitative methods, normally acquired through graduate level courses and hands on experience leading analytic efforts.
  • Advanced degree in one of the above fields preferred. Proficiency in technical and non-technical writing and presentation preparation required. Thorough understanding of quantitative and marketing principles desired, with a preference for hands-on experience in a marketing leadership position directing the use of econometric, financial, and statistical analytic methods including conjoint analyses, logit models, macro and micro economic models, market simulation models, and similar econometric, psychometric, engineering, market simulation, and analytic tools.
  • Considerable experience in developing, creating, manipulating, and analyzing large databases and data sets.
  • Extensive working knowledge of personal computers and/or mainframe systems and related software applications such as spreadsheets, presentation and graphics software, word processing, statistical packages, and database managers.
  • Knowledge of energy technologies, equipment, and economics.
  • Knowledge of the present regulated utility environment, plus an understanding of the changing dynamics in the field, with an emphasis on the role of marketing/energy service providers.

  • Ability to understand, discuss, and present complex issues and offer solutions. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to lead and coordinate others in developing written and oral presentations.
  • Ability to lead efforts to coordinate analytical and computer skills, organizational, time management, and planning efforts while managing multiple projects and programs.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and work with a variety of individuals, including management and with different areas within and across the Companies, and the ability to remain flexible in a demanding work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Ability to independently identify and effectively follow up to meet project goals, maintain good documentation of studies and projects, complete tasks in a timely, efficient, and accurate fashion.
  • Ability to use and teach SAS and/or SPSS.

Hiring Range: The hiring range for the Customer Communication, Email and Data Analyst [Req ID 8366] position is $75,000.00 to $95,700.00. The person selected will be placed according to his/her skills and qualifications.
