Job Summary: You will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and professional appearance of assigned facilities to ensure the safety, health and high morale of guests and associates with minimal interference to others.
This position is subject to the Supreme Court's mandate for the Covid-19 vaccination. The Choctaw Nation offers medical and/or religious exemptions for those who cannot get the vaccine.
You will report to the EVS manager
Primary Tasks:
You will perform duties including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping, window washing, restroom cleaning, trash removal, polishing of metal work, and office cleaning.
You will follow approved cleaning practices with proper chemicals within SDS guidelines.
You will stock housekeeping supplies when delivered, keep closets stocked and organized.
You will operate and properly maintain cleaning equipment.
You will experience prolonged walking, lifting, or moving of objects.
You will be responsible for the cleaning and disposal of biohazard material according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines.
You will answer or direct customers or public inquiries to the appropriate department when necessary.
You will be expected to take initiative to immediately clean or correct problem areas.
You will report emergences and maintenance needs to supervisor.
MINIMUM
A High School Diploma or GED required
Knowledge in the use of housekeeping/cleaning equipment and chemicals as it relates to SDS
Understand government public health and, or safety regulations/requirements
Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience preferred
