Custodial Worker 1

The Lorain County Commissioners are accepting applications for the position of Custodial Worker 1.

Position Summary:

Under supervision, sweeps, dust mops, waxes and wet mops floors; vacuums carpets and floor mats; restocks paper items and restroom supplies; washes curtains, windows, walls, mirrors, furniture, woodwork, doors; empties trash receptacles; dusts and shines furniture; cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, kitchens and other facilities. Performs other related duties as required.

This is a full-time, union position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities listed below. An example of an acceptable qualification for this position is: Completion of primary school grades, one (1) month experience in general housekeeping; demonstrate ability to show physical ability to use institutional cleaning equipment, or equivalent combination and/or experience.

We are looking for someone with office building cleaning experience with attention to detail, a self-starter who is used to working independently. Successful candidate needs to be reliable and punctual.

This is a part time evening cleaning position, starting time is 4 pm.
