Credit Card Processor

We have an excellent opportunity to join one of Iowa's Top Workplaces at Linn County's largest locally and family-owned bank in this full-time position.

In this role you will be part of a small team environment that specializes in the administration of bank's credit card product and services. You will perform a variety of operational and accounting duties in maintaining our credit card accounts and provide assistance to our customers with their credit card inquiries. Primary responsibilities include:

• Process credit card applications/documents ensuring completeness of loan file before booking on system and electronically archiving documents
• Review reports daily
• Process daily payments and settlements
• Reconcile specific General Ledger accounts
• Answer calls and assist customers with questions, account transfers, account maintenance, credit limit increases, billing disputes, fraud, travel alerts, etc.
• Assist other bank employees with credit card questions and inquiries
• Assist with collection action on past due accounts, process charge-offs, small claims and garnishments
• Assist business customers with merchant services
• Follow established standards and procedures

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma
• Banking/Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred
• Accounts receivable experience helpful
• Ability to understand and apply accounting principles
• Customer service focus with strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Effective problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities
• Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications
