Hair Stylist/Colorist

Job Description

Perform a broad range of beauty services including shampooing, cutting, and styling hair, though they may also provide hair treatments, including deep conditioning, permanents, and hair coloring.

Primary Responsibilities

• Determine clients’ individual requirements by conferring with them in detail
• Provide information to clients regarding the type of hair style and treatment suitable for them
• Cut or trim hair using clippers and scissors
• Provide bleaching, coloring, waving and straightening services
  Perform blow-dry services
• Shave and trim moustaches and beards
• Provide advice to clients regarding hair products and care. Make suggestions on products provided by the spa.
• Ensure appropriate cleanliness of work areas
• Maintain and sanitize hair cutting tools and salon instruments
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance required.
• Current Cosmetology License in the State of Tennessee
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills a must.
