Position title: Quality Assurance Manager (Compliance Manager)
Facility name: Gregory S. Coleman Unit / Kyle Correctional Center
*** This position splits time between both facilities
Location: 1400 Industrial Blvd, Lockhart, TX 78644; 23001 Interstate 35, Kyle, TX 78640
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Work schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday

Job responsibilities: The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the oversight of the quality assurance and accreditation requirements in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) directives. She/he directly supervises the compliance sergeant/FTO.
Essential functions:
- Travel between assigned locations is required.
- Create systems to effectively manage responsibilities at all assigned facilities.
- Plan and develop programs to comply with the American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation requirements.
- Establish and conduct periodic and annual review of certification accreditation.
- Develop the departmental budgets; monitor and control expenditures. Review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
- Conduct regular reviews and inspections to ensure facility operations and programs are compliant with all applicable laws and policies.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for facility compliance.
- Ensure facility operations follow all applicable laws and agency policy. This regular self-monitoring will be separate from any other inspections conducted by other agencies.
- Develop and maintain an overall quality control system.
- Monitor the duties assigned to the compliance sergeant for complete, accurate, and timely reports and necessary corrective actions needed to resolve identified deficiencies.
- Read, review and properly apply information found in offender records which is related to the offenders’ health and safety and to the security of the facility. Provide appropriate information to other personnel.
Position requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited senior high school, GED, or equivalent.
- Four (4) years full-time, wage-earning experience in an adult correctional environment or related field required.
- One (1) year of experience in supervisory capacity preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- A valid driver license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record is required, unless waived by management.
