Universal Leaf Tobacco Company, Inc. (Universal) is seeking an experienced recruiting professional to assume the role of Corporate Recruiter in its office located in Richmond, Virginia.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Corporate Recruiter will be responsible for attracting, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for a variety of roles at all of Universal's domestic locations (VA, NC, PA, IL, WA). They will work closely with hiring managers and department heads to develop recruiting strategies and source candidates. The position will include but will not be limited to the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and hiring criteria that meet the needs of the organization
- Source and attract candidates through various channels such as job boards, social media, and employee referrals
- Screen resumes and conduct phone and in-person interviews to identify qualified candidates
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Extend job offers and negotiate salary and benefits packages with candidates
- Maintain a candidate database and keep accurate records of recruiting activities
- Stay up to date on current recruiting trends and best practices
- Performs a variety of tasks as assigned.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in corporate recruiting
- Demonstrated experience recruiting for varying levels of roles, up to and including executive-level positions.
- Experience recruiting in the agricultural, manufacturing, or food and beverage industries is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with applicant tracking systems
- Experience conducting salary analyses for multiple regions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A high level of organization and time management skills
- Ability to act with integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
