The County of Riverside's University Health System - Medical Center, is seeking candidates to fill a Regular and Temporary Cooks Assistant position in their Kitchen Department. Under general supervision, the incumbents will perform cooking assignments of routine complexity; receive instruction from journey or supervisory level personnel in volume food preparation, cooking, and serving; and performs other related duties as required. These positions are located in Moreno Valley.

The Cooks Assistant will be responsible for providing great customer service and helping cooks with preparation of patient, cafeteria, and catering meals. They may also work the cafeteria grill station as needed.
The RUHS-MC is a 24-hour facility - incumbents must be flexible to work any shift including weekends and holidays.

The schedule is as follows: 5/40 (Times will vary from 10:00am - 6:30pm or 12:00pm - 8:30pm).



This position requires a valid Food Handler's Permit issued by the County of Riverside upon hire. If you currently have a valid permit, please attach a copy to your application.



Temporary Pay Rate:
$16.4565 per hour

Shift Differentials:
3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. sixty cents (0.60¢) per hour
11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. twenty cents ($1.20) per hour
**Employees who work day shift between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. shall not be entitled to a shift differential.**
