EMPLOYEE HOUSING AVAILABLE. 66 Smokehouse BBQ is hiring cooks immediately, starting at $18 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a fully equipped professional kitchen in a friendly and professional work environment. We are the only restaurant in Southern Oregon that offers employee profit sharing. EMPLOYEE HOUSING OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE, NO COMMUTE!
We are located 17 miles from Ashland, Oregon, on Highway 66 near the beautiful Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument at the Green Springs Inn. We offer an excellent benefit package for full-time employees and cover 50% of the cost. Our benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, superior wages, tip pooling, and employee profit sharing.
DUTIES
We are looking for a friendly team player to join our morning, afternoon, or evening kitchen crew as a cook. A part-time and a full-time position are available. The successful candidate will be an experienced cook who is motivated and a team player.
As Cook, you will report to the Owner and some of your responsibilities will include:
- Consulting with the Kitchen Crew & Owner on a daily basis to ensure that timing of orders and production schedules are coordinated
- Production of the highest quality hot breakfast foods
- Timely delivery of assigned orders and other orders as needed
- Training new kitchen workers and assistants
- Prepare food with a variety of kitchen equipment and tools
- Maintain positive relations with customers, vendors and employees
- Maintain Health and Safety sanitation requirements
- Have a current Food Handler card
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional cooking experience. Catering experience is preferred. Applicants should be available for morning shifts and may include weekends. You must be 18 years or older.
