• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Demonstrates skills as a proficient user of financial systems, spreadsheet programs, and database programs. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is a must.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor, or manager.

• Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
• Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The type of activities expected to be performed at this level include, but are not limited to:

• Manage all aspects of accounting, billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.
• Prepare and organize financial statements for record and review, including monthly & annual financial reports.
• Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations by analyzing current procedures and recommending change where appropriate.
• Keep an organized filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and debts.
• Monitor cash and funding balances.
• Oversee payments of all accounts; ensuring all accounts are paid on time. Oversee payments made for debts, bank loans, and other large quantities.
• Process accounts and collect payments.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting. Ensure company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures time and expense records are accurate and reconciled with general ledger system, including billing, collections, and reimbursements.
• Partner with business operations to deliver timely, insightful data, tools, and analysis to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and risk management.
• Organize information and statements for audits and due diligence requests by external auditors, clients, and vendors.
• Manage relationships with the Company’s’ lenders and other key third-party finance providers (e.g., OpenAir, Concur, Sage).
• Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks, and other matters with management and chief financial officer.
• Manage and develop accounting team.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field.
• Candidate must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
