A company that provides medical supplies to healthcare facilities located in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking an experienced Controller.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include financial, reporting, compliance, and management

FINANCIAL:

• Compile monthly financials
• General Ledger – Ensure general ledger activity ties in with trial balance and financials
• Accounts Receivable – Ensure accounts receivable ties in with GL, AR Trial balance, and AR Aging, Sage will allocate to different months if an invoice date and posting date is not the same
• Accounts Payable – Ensure accounts payable ties in with GL, AP Trial balance, and AP aging, Sage will allocate to different months if an invoice date and posting date is not the same
• Inventory – Responsible for management of inventory numbers and reporting
  • Physical Inventory counts annually
  • Inventory valuation reports monthly to ensure it matches with the inventory GL
  • Ensure costs are being captured accurately
• Bank Reconciliation – Responsible for bank reconciliations for several accounts

REPORTING:

• Internal Reporting - Company relies on several internal reports to accurately make decisions
  • Profit by Customer; Profit by item; PPD by Customer; White Truck; Diapers; Expense Report; Trend Report
• Bank Reporting
  • BBC; FCCR
• Monthly Commission
• Quarterly payroll tax filing (done by payroll)

COMPLIANCE:

• Monthly/Quarterly sales tax filing
• Annual Review
• Corporate tax and Estimated tax payments

PAYROLL PROCESSING:

• Process payroll weekly
• Daily cash receipts reconciliation with the bank

Qualifications:

• Must have experience as a Controller
• Controller will be responsible for overseeing all billing.
• Must have strong accounting background
• Candidate will be responsible for the entire company and include acquisitions, loan closing, bank reconciliations, supervising the team of accountants, etc
• Ensure adequate financial controls are in place
