Description:Corrigan Krause is assisting in the search for a permanent Controller for one of their clients located in Brooklyn, OH. Our client has been established for over 60 years, as a top service provider of die set manufacturing and distributor of die components. Client has locations in Brooklyn and Elyria, OH. As the Controller, you will be responsible minimizing the roles of the principal owners in the day to day finance and accounting area of the Organization and to improve/enhance the timeliness and accuracy of the information provided by the current accounting system. The Controller will also be heavily in the analysis, design, and implementation of new and improved processes related to finance and accounting. This position is required full in-office work. Candidates must be locate or willing to relocate to the greater Cleveland, OH area.
Requirements:

  • Oversee and maintain the Company’s accounting/financial operations utilizing the Microsoft Dynamics NAV software including:
  • Periodic update of financial report
  • Monthly financial statements
  • Daily/Weekly flash reports with KPI’s
  • Prepare information for quarterly and annual financials to be compiled by the CPA firm
  • Develop and refine a deeper cost accounting system along with margin and product profitability analysis
  • Develop and maintain budgets and cash flow forecasts
  • Develop and direct financial plans in support of the strategic business plan
  • Provide financial analysis for capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations
  • Human resources management of payroll and all benefits; including Paybridge Payroll Service, all insurance products, Retirement (401k) oversight, etc.
  • Act as strategic partner with corporate CPA/Attorney/Banker
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a financial leadership role
  • 2+ years of experience as a Controller, or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration, or similar field required
  • Experience in distribution accounting highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and work within teams, encouraging results driven and task-oriented collaboration
