Controller

POSITION DESCRIPTION

I. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY – Assist, AP/AR staff member to assure the accurate and timely completion of the department accounting functions. Preform all financial and accounting reporting for owners. Candidate needs to be able to work independently once trained in our procedures.

II. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Vice President

Direct Interaction in key functional areas including: ,Accounting, AP/AR, Inventory Control, etc.

· PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee daily accounting activities and general ledger entries.

· Manage monthly accounting closing and financial reporting procedures.

· Manage and update standard costing system

· Perform Bank Reconciliation Monthly

· Perform Credit Card reconciliation Monthly

· BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

· Experience in developing internal control procedures.

· Five years post degree experience as an Accountant in a manufacturing facility.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office with expertise in Excel.

· Working knowledge of ERP systems and MRP experience.

· Expertise with financial and ledger systems.

· EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA designation preferred.

· Experience in the Food Industry preferred.

*Position can be either Part-Time or Full-Time. Pay rate will be determined based on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Equates to $24,00 per hour based on weekly hours and experience.
