Title: Content Editor/Producer - Video

Location: New York, NY (Full-Time, On-Site)

The Role:

Roc Nation , a Live Nation joint venture, is looking for a Content Editor/Producer who will be responsible for developing and producing video content for Roc Nation’s social, editorial platforms, and external pitch meetings. The incumbent will be expected to help brainstorm with the team and conceptualize new ideas while producing consistent video content for various uses. In addition to Roc Nation’s social and editorial platforms, video duties will span into areas involving special projects and Roc Nation’s branded projects.

The position requires the ability to act within a producer, editor, and content strategist role. The incumbent will collaborate between multiple teams under the Roc Nation umbrella to deliver video content in an autonomous and timely manner under the direction of the VP of Creative. Candidates should have an understanding of Roc Nation’s aesthetics and branding, past and current content, and be able to identify opportunities for growth with a high level of execution and knowledge of what’s trending in entertainment and culture at large.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for video editing and producing

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including creative, digital, and brand strategy to build a holistic approach to video production

• Brainstorm and develop innovative ideas with the team

• Maintain a steady flow of high quality content for all video needs - primarily Instagram

• Define and elevate the aesthetic quality of assets in collaboration with the VP of Creative

• Audio editing and post-production mixing, color-grading

• Lite animation and motion graphics

• Secure and vet photo + video talent, crew for upcoming shoots

• Uphold the standards of the Roc Nation brand

Experience, Skills, Knowledge

• 2-4 years of experience in editing and producing

• Proficiency in digital media software tools (Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, After Effects)

• Must be familiar with social media tools

• Experience with script writing, storyboarding, and create content narratives

• Experience working with and troubleshooting lighting and sound

• Highly organized, with baseline levels of project management

• Independent and detail-oriented with a creative approach to video editing

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot and stay calm under pressure

• A team player with the ability to work independently and multi-task

• In tune with latest trends, news, and tools

• Experience shooting with DSLR or mirrorless video cameras

• Full understanding of the Roc Nation brand, all subsequent verticals, and partner companies
