About Us

D.H. Griffin Construction Co., LLC is a full-service general contractor, design-builder and construction manager to join our Greensboro team. We bring a collaborative approach to projects, working closely with the owner and design teams in a variety of project delivery methods including negotiated price, design-build, CM Agent, CM at risk, and conventional design-bid-build.

With headquarters in Greensboro, D.H. Griffin Construction has been serving the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions since 1995.

Qualifications and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Minimum of 5 years of Estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Effectively build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and contractors;
• Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents;
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits (some travel may be required) to familiarize yourself with the job site conditions and scope;
• Review and comprehend project specifications and drawings;
• Perform detailed take-offs;
• Identify approach, labor, equipment, materials, and time requirements for each specific project;
• Compute cost by analyzing labor, equipment, materials, and time requirements for each specific project;
• Prepare and submit detailed proposals;
• Lead estimate turnover on successful bids;
• Maintain and price change orders;
• Accumulate, evaluate, and document historical cost data;
• Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks by following standards set forth by OSHA and Company EHS Program;
• Contributes to team effort by performing and accomplishing related tasks as needed
• Exceptional communication, organizational, problem-solving, negotiation and planning skills are required.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. word, excel, etc.)
• Ability to implement new ideas. Be an active member and leader within our company, actively participating in committees, making recommendations for new initiatives, and embracing new policies related to Safety and Quality
