NexGen ICF is a small business in Davenport, IA. Our goal is to reshape the construction industry one building at a time. We are growing quickly and looking for talented and dedicated individuals that want to be part of something exciting.

We specialize in insulated concrete form (ICF) construction. We build ICF Shell Structures for residential and commercial buildings. These buildings are very energy-efficient and provide extra safety (from tornadoes, fires, etc.) for the occupants.

We are looking for an experienced, hardworking Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. In this role, you will focus on formwork and building the temporary form systems that shape concrete as it hardens. After the concrete is poured and sets, you will smooth and finish the surfaces. You must have experience using hand and power tools to assist in the construction of concrete floors, sidewalks, curbs, and other structures. You should also be comfortable using measuring instruments to check that your concrete forms follow the blueprints or job specifications. All new hires must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Build and align form systems

· Construct scaffolding and platforms

· Use measuring tools to ensure accuracy

· Pour concrete

· Finish concrete using hand and power tools

· Follow OSHA safety regulations

Requirements and Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED certificate

· Completion of an apprenticeship or on-the-job training program strongly preferred

· Experience with concrete form setting or construction is required

· Proficiency with industry hand and power tools, including saws

· Physical stamina to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

· Attention to detail

· Basic math skills

· Willingness to work some weekends

· Communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights

• Davenport, IA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Construction: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
