Concrete Construction Associate - The Fort Miller Co., Inc.

The Fort Miller Co., Inc. located in Greenwich, NY, has a full time, year round opening for a Concrete Construction Associate. The ideal candidate has some construction experience, specifically in the areas of concrete and carpentry. Responsibilities of a Concrete Construction Associate:

• Set up wooden and steel forms, often using carpentry skills and basic hand and power tools.
• Pour and finish concrete.
• Strip forms and prepare concrete products for shipment, which may involve sealing, patching, etc.
• Perform basic material handling, loading product onto trailers with an overhead crane, moving steel with a forklift, etc.
• General housekeeping such as sweeping, cleaning and putting away tools.

Qualifications of our Concrete Construction Associate include the ability to:

• Perform heavy physical labor.
• Safely lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Understand common measurements of length.
• Access equipment at various levels by reaching or climbing a ladder, bend over, walk, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Work independently as well as part of a team.
• Work a flexible schedule, including overtime and Saturdays on occasion.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
