Job Description
HII-Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Cryptanalytic Computer Scientist professional to join our Cyber and Intelligence team! This work is performed on customer site at Fort Meade to directly collaborate with data scientists, cryptologic and cryptanalytic programmers, reverse engineers, and intelligence planners to synergistically enable real-time solutions to be implemented at the speed of need.
As part of our Cyber and Intelligence team, you will be engaged in:
- Employing the hybrid skill set of advanced computer science, electrical engineering, and mathematics to ensure solutions to the most difficult cryptanalytic problems
- Solving challenging cryptanalytic, high-performance computing, and computer network operations problems of critical importance to protecting key cyber terrain

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver and operate solutions to hard cryptologic computer science problems within a scientific framework
- Solutions may arise in the forms of forensics and attack attribution, protection of critical networks, active systems warnings and indicators, active penetration into target systems, knowledge discovery of passive and active systems or other cryptologic computer science mission support
- Requisite computer science skills (operating systems, compiler theory, database theory, algorithm analysis, computer architecture, discrete math, programming language theory, and data structures) are applied to each problem to provide state-of-the-art techniques, tools, and approaches
- Using principles, techniques, procedures, and tools to architect and facilitate the development of hardware solutions
- Applying software engineering principles to design and/or develop software applications
Minimum Qualifications
0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
Preferred Requirements
- Developing methods and applications for tools to exploit and analyze computer systems and network vulnerabilities
- Designing and optimizing algorithms, data structures, modeling, and analytics to solve real-world scientific problem
