This position is located at our corporate office in Blaine, WA (appx 100 miles north of Seattle). THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

Kam-Way’s compliance Specialist is well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices. The position requires the individual to be of high ethical standards and work diligently to complete their duties keeping in mind the objectives of the business. The core goal of this position is to preserve the company’s integrity by making sure it stays on a lawful and ethical course. This position reports to the Compliance Manager.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE:

• Receive notifications from Motor Carrier monitoring service and register carriers into TMW for qualification by going through control steps in procedure.
• Complete customer documents when Senior Compliance Specialist is absent.
• Scan motor carrier documents into TMW system for easy access and for filing purpose
• Communicate with DAT help personnel to resolve motor carrier On-Boarding issues and be responsible for resolving issues
• Assure all the required documents are submitted for carrier including assure authority, assure Auto Liability/Cargo insurance as current.
• Confirm ID of the submitter and request Insurance cert of insurance with KWT listed as cert holder from insurance broker
• Communicate with carriers and get any missing documents
• Work on assigned claims to broaden knowledge
• Data input is repetitive in nature so you must possess a strong attention to detail
• Other special projects as assigned and assist other working area when needed

• 
  Minimum of a high school diploma
• Experience in the transportation field is desired-
• Kam-Way is a Microsoft office, so advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Modules will be required
• Speaking — talking to others to convey information effectively in a professional and positive manner
• Active listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Time Management — Role requires the individual to be able to multi-task, so managing one's own time is essential along with holding others on the deliverables
